Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association
The task of updating Downtown Windsor's website was assigned to professional design and branding group in the city. virtualInferno was contracted out to bring the static Photoshop designs to life by using a combination of custom javascript programming and flash animation.
virtualInferno was also delegated to rebuilding the back-end structure of the previous website. The system was built from the ground up using a mySQL database on the back-end and ASP to deliver the dynamic content to the front-end. A very sophisicated relational database needed to be created to store the more than 700 businesses in downtown Windsor, as well as an administration area to maintain and control it.
Many other sections of the Downtown Windsor website are dynamic, such as their electronic newsletter, press releases, and events calendar. No-nonsense forms and menus make maintenance and adjustments to the site as simple as possible.
