Artisan Photography

I'm very proud to present Artisan Photography to my audience. The owners are friends of mine who are excellent photographers with extensive knowledge and creativity. They use modern techniques, capturing "bold, dynamic images that tell a unique story." For your upcoming events be sure to consider Kris & Nicole, be it for wedding, engagement, maternity, baby, or family portraits.

virtualInferno saw this project from start to end. We conceptualized the logo, working closely with Kris & Nicole to finalize something unique and stylish which properly represented their company and approach to photography.

From there, we moved on to the website, developing a custom portfolio management system which allows new galleries to be created and new images to be added with ease. All thumbnailing and resizing is handled within automated scripts. Unique effects using cascading style sheets were used to implement a highlighting effect on the thumbnails which reduces load times and makes the site very easy to navigate. Finally, a slideshow for each gallery is also automatically generated. Javascript is used to display the gallery and perform the fade effects between photos. By using javascript we have eliminated the need for the user to download the Adobe Flash Player and the large files associated with Flash movies.
